Mungwi Baptist Rural Health Centre is a ministry of Zambia Baptist Association which came into being as a result of the partnership with Liebenzell Mission International. The focus of the relationship among other things was to start Baptist Churches in Northern Province. In view of the above, Mungwi Baptist Rural Health Centre was started as a means not only to provide the needed health services but to share the gospel holistically.
LMI missionaries who were sent to Kasama saw the Spiritual and physical needs of the people and this culminated into developing the centre.
The Objectives of the Center
1) To enable good medical care for the people in and around Mungwi
2) To have a maternity ward for safe delivery
3) To provide good mother and child care
4) To promote general awareness of diseases
5) To keep up with the Government immunization program
6) To give education in health and hygiene
7) To do preventive health care
