Who is a Youth under the auspices of ZBA?

Owing to the fundamental values and beliefs of the church, that defines a youth as any young person between the ages of 18 to 35 or traditionally a youth is considered to be the period of transition from childhood to adulthood

The church recognises the role and significance of young people in the body of Christ and the crucial role they play to the enhancement and development of the church growth through evangelism.

The church affirmatively underscores the values and the roles of the young people as drivers of change by bringing the lost souls into the kingdom God.

• Responsibilities

Under (ZBA) Youth Ministry the thrust is to reach out to all youths in various towns, districts and provinces across the country with a total surface area of 752,612 square kilo meter, It is worth noting that embarking on this enormous activity of incorporating   young people into spiritual and mind set change comes at a high cost considering the terrains and long distances that needs be covered across the country.

The Ministry believes in shaping the lives of Young people towards positive mind set by inculcating a culture of reading the bible and sharing the gospel to the unbelievers by making Jesus Christ as lord and saviour (Matthew 28 verse 18) commands us.

Youths are essential and instrumental in praising and worshiping God through choir, Praise Team /memorising bible verses and propounding Gods word for spiritual growth.

Youths are care takers and care givers in church among other responsibilities.

The Association plans to implement youth empowerment activities as listed below…

• Life survival skills such as Tailoring, plumbing, Brick laying, baking and other cookery activities for personal  empowerment and financial sustainability
• Advice on Career guidance and how to establish  small medium and macro business activities
• Sports development and health reproductive activities, HIV and AIDS awareness and Maternal /cancer sensitization so as to brace the young with health issues surrounding them.

The Association under the Youth ministry regards the bible as a supreme tool to propagate and champion for sound and positive mind set, moral and intellectual behaviour for the betterment of the church thereby preserving the moral fibre of the community.

Structure and coordination of regional youth wings

The Zambia Baptist Association Youth ministry has main national leadership that is headed by the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Financial secretary and three committee members and its superintended by a Coordinator seconded to the Ministry by the main Body.

The Youth main executive works with districts, provincial and local church leadership to roll out youth programs such as seminars, conferences and developmental meetings.
